Full Version: Cura slicer fragmenting object

I am using Repetier-Host with Cura Engine slicer.  I have imported your .rcp file for the cura engine, but when I slice dual extruder STLs (such as the 2-color Marvin,) the object fragments after about 3/4" up in Z direction, and the Print Statistics indicate a print time of -8s with a very large amount of filament needed.  I can successfully slice the Distech keyfob but anything tall seems to fragment.  Enclosed is a snip of the Print Preview and the Print Statistics.
@3d Hobbier

That looks like some sort of glitch. Have you tried reinstalling the latest version of Repetier Host with Cura Slicer?
Some interesting observations.  I have reloaded Repetier-Host 2.05 (which included Cura engine) and still same results. I loaded Repetier-Host on a different laptop and no difference.  If I comment out the following three G1 lines in the "After Extruder Switch" added gcode,
; G1 E100 F3000  ; 50mm/s feed
; G1 E54 F1500  ; 25mm/s feed
; G1 X-50 E5 F900  ; prime trail
 the print preview looks like it sliced ok (obviously it will not print correctly as the after extruder commands are not loading the filament). Also when looking at the fragmented sliced gcode it looked ok, so I deleted the 1st hald of the sliced output gcode to see what the print preview would look like and it looks like the correct top half of Marvin (no fragmentation (as shown below).   -weird

I have the same exact issue - what's weird is that sometimes the print turns out ok (it always says ETE is a negative number) and sometimes it stops where it shows it stopping.  I'm testing with a mutlicolor 3dbenchy.

Any ideas / updates?
@xyrth

Still not sure, but it may be a problem with recent releases of Repetier Host, as we never have issues with the older version that we use (haven't updated in a few months). It looks a lot like a slicer glitch.
